Parishioners: We are sponsoring a care package drive for active military men and women. The Collinses in our church have a big heart for this ministry. We ask you to take up to 15 collection bags provided to you on Sunday, October 8th and distribute them during the week to your neighbors, co-workers, whomever you choose. You will pick up the filled bags on Saturday, October 14th, and bring the donations to the church on October 15th. Below is the text of the flier that will be attached to the bags you will distribute. Questions? Ask Ann Collins by clicking here.
St. Augustine’s Anglican Church is hosting a care package drive to collect supplies for the Marine Corps Family Support Community, an organization of parents, families, spouses, veterans and friends who support our military (all branches). The goal of the Marine Support Community is to provide a touch of home to our deployed military with care packages twice a month.
Put your donations on your porch by 11am on Saturday, October 14th and we will pick them up.
We are looking for donations such as the following:
Hand sanitizer (small bottles)
Baby wipes (travel size)
Gum & hard candies
Hot cocoa mix
Word search books
Tuna and chicken packets
Sunscreen (small bottles)
You can also write letters and have children draw pictures to be included.
If you know of someone who is deployed (any branch of the military) and would like them to receive a care package twice a month, go to the Marine Family Support Community website: www.marinecorpsfamilysupportcommunity.org/contact-us to send them their address.
We would also like to invite you to visit our church on Sundays at 10:00am. Check our website for details:
