August 8th, 2014 brought fellowship with old and new friends at the second annual Wine and Pasta Fellowship Dinner. Delicious wines, scrumptious sauces, and to-die-for desserts added to the late summer entertainment. In addition to our local members and friends, The Rt. Revd. Stephen Kewasis Nyorsok of Nitale, Kenya – Fr. Philip Sang’s bishop – dropped by for a visit. We also were blessed to have the archdeacon of the ADGL diocese, Fr. Mark Scotton; and the bishop’s administrative assistant, Tina Fisher join us from Akron (Tina made the to-die-for cake we all devoured!). Our sommelier, Mr. Tom Dunlap, returned again this year with his wine recommendations, offering tasty juice from the vine to enthusiastic friends at the dinner, and St. Ann orchestrated the entire event, ensuring that everyone had a good time. There was general consensus that this pasta dinner is a winner. St. Augustine’s is looking for other opportunities to bring new friends to our “home” for plain old fun! Next time, we hope you will join us!
