Grabbing a quick coffee at a local cafe months ago, Dr. Bob noticed a man reading the Bible. He stopped by this stranger’s table and asked what he was reading. In this brief conversation, he learned that this man works for Young Life, an organization designed to meet teenagers where they are and introduce them to the love of Christ. A year after this conversation, Dr. Bob and Beth have become ambassadors in the Young Life program. On Tuesday night, April 14, 2015, Dr. Bob and Beth invited members of St. Augustine’s Anglican in Columbus to share a banquet meal at a fundraiser for Young Life in the Columbus City Schools. Greeted by the loud cheers of frenetic high school students from across the city, we enjoyed fellowship with Christians committed to making a strategic investment to change generations of lives through Christ, one student at a time. St. Augustine’s will explore ways to expand our mission to include involvement with Young Life in the coming year. Do you have a love for teenagers seeking something greater than themselves? Are you interested in supporting missionaries and missions with a message for Jesus? Then perhaps you might like to join our team as we explore various avenues of support for Young Life and its students. Stay tuned for more details. Thanks to Dr. Bob for graciously allowing us to share his winning moves in the ping-pong booty contest!
