An interview of Pat by Julie Green.
What do you really appreciate about St. Augustine’s?
Pat: I really like the liturgy of the Anglican church along with the solemnity of the service. I believe there is a place for that in Christian worship. Most of all I love the people at St. Augustine’s. When my daughter and I moved from Texas to Ohio, I visited a few other churches. Then I found St. Augustine’s and they became like family to me. That was so important to me at that time. I also truly appreciate Father Kevin. He is a wonderful, caring pastor.
What would you love for St. Augustine’s to contribute to the community? And how could a church building help facilitate that vision?
Pat: I would like for St. Augustine’s to be able to offer programming to attract families. There are lots of hurting people all around us and being part of a strong church can make a big difference. It would be great to have activities for parents, children and people of all different ages. For example, the church could sponsor a parents’ night out and/or Bible studies for different groups. I would like for us to remain small enough to be personal, yet become a magnet for families.
