We are winding down our first full year of youth Sunday School with just one lesson left. Our dedicated group of teachers utilized the Godly Play curriculum and materials as the basis for the program. Godly Play follows the church calendar and provides a firm foundation in Christian history and theology and enables parents and children to better explore the love of Christ together.
We were blessed to have Kendra and Maria from Otterbein to help with children’s Sunday School and the Nursery. The children loved them and enjoyed the many ‘extras’ they brought to the classes. With a class of all boys, their ability to make construction paper masks was especially appreciated. Most importantly, their dedication to the faith shone through the lessons.
St. Paul tells us that ‘For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully’ (1 Corinthians 13:12). With the help of our teachers and the beautiful children of St. Augustine’s we were able to see the love of Christ less dimly and more clearly.
