Military Food Drive

St. Augustine’s Anglican Church is hosting a Military Food Drive, collecting supplies for the Marine Corps Family Support Community (MCFSC), an organization of parents, spouses, veterans and friends who support our military (all branches). MCFSC sends 2 care packages per month to each Marine, Army, Navy, Air Force or Coast Guard member deployed on our list. They rely on the generosity of individuals, churches, schools and other organizations to help them be able to fill each package with useful items they might not otherwise be able to get while deployed. We will have donation bags available on Sunday, November 10th for you to disburse in your community, returning donation on Sunday, November 17th.

St. Augustine’s Anglican Church is hosting a food drive, collecting supplies for the Marine Corps Family Support Community, an organization of parents, families, spouses, veterans and friends who support our military (all branches). Will you help us provide a touch of home to deployed women & men with Care Packages twice a month? Put your donations on your porch by 11am on Saturday, November 16th and we’ll pick up at noon time.
We are looking for the following donations:
Hand Sanitizer–small bottles
Gum & Hard Candies (no chocolate)
Hot Cocoa Mix
Word Search Books
Cross Word Puzzles
Tuna & Chicken packets
Sunscreen (small bottles)
Cereal in single serv. boxes
Socks – White
Shaving Cream – no aerosol
Sunscreen – Travel size
You can also write letters and have children draw pictures to be included.
If you know of someone who is deployed (any branch of the military) and would like him/her to receive a care package twice a month, go to the Marine Family Support Community website to send his/her address.
