For many, electronic giving is the preferred method for donating to St. Augustine’s. We have been using E-Giving for several years now.
As our financial needs with a new building have grown, we decided to find a less expensive way to provide this service (E-Giving charges 3% for every electronic transaction).
Venmo is a secure money-transfer app that is free and easy to use. When you send money using Venmo, it costs you nothing, and it costs the recipient nothing.
To start using the Venmo mobile app, simply download the app from your App Store or Google Play. You can find the set-up process here: https://help.venmo.com/hc/en-us/articles/209690068-How-to-Sign-Up. Venmo is also available for desktops. When you get the app connected to your bank account, find St Augustine’s by searching for “St Augustine Anglican Church”. The profile picture for that account is a photo of our new sign out front of our new building.
When you transfer funds the first time, the app may prompt you to enter the last four digits of the phone number associated with the RECIPIENT’S account. At this step, enter the numbers “8426”. If you’d like, you can send a small amount of money as a test, and our eminent Treasurer will confirm that you’re sending the money to the right account. If you need help with the app, please contact Dr Bethany Christiansen, our senior warden, by clicking here.
For those using E-Giving, we will continue this service until June 1. If you have been using E-Giving and are not ready to set up Venmo, you can give the old-fashioned way: write a check! That works very well for the Lord, too!
